Mrs. Wm. (Anna Dorothea Meyer) BROCKMEYER

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 26 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Mrs. Anna Brockmeyer who died January 23, 1971 at her home in Postville following a lingering illness. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Anna Dorothea Meyer, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Moetsch Meyer was born July 9, 1877 at Postville. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Postville, where she was a lifetime member.

She was united in marriage to William Brockmeyer, of Postville, November 28, 1905. To this union one son, Elmer, was born. After their marriage they moved to a farm northwest of Postville where they lived for 36 years, moving back to the home in Postville where she was born, in September 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother George and a sister Christine. She is survived by her son Elmer and her daughter-in-law Adelia, several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.
