CHARLES BROUILLET 1889-1964

Charles Brouillet, son of Phillias and Anna Brouillet, was born March 31, 1889 at Frankville, Iowa. He passed away at the Iowa City University Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 1964 at the age of 75 years and six months, following an illness of two years duration. Charles Brouillet was married to Eliza Brink in 1945.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eliza, who died January 12, 1962. One brother, Morgan, and one sister, (Edna) Mrs. Sam Hosely, also preceded him in death. Surviving are: one son, Vernon of Postville; one brother, Fred of Frankville; three sisters, (Ruby) Mrs. Roy Grimm, (Bernice), Mrs. Norman Vick, (Evelyn), Mrs. Harry Harvey, all of Decorah; and three grandsons.

Charles spent his life as a carpenter having lived in Frankville, Decorah, Postville and Rossville. He attended the Community Presbyterian Church at Frankville.

Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church at Postville on Friday, October 2, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the services. Interment was in the Postville cemetery.
