Mrs. JOHN (Eliza Emma Sander) DIEDERICHS 1878-1950
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Emma Diederichs, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Schutte, at Lime Springs.
Mrs. Diederichs, who passed away Sunday evening, was a former resident of this community. The rites will be performed by Rev. F. R. Ludwig.
Eliza Emma Sander Diederichs, daughter of Henry Christoph Sander and Caroline Schultz Sander, was born February 13, 1878 in Clayton county, and departed this life after a lingering period of declining health on February 12, 1950 at Lime Springs aged 71 years.
Mrs. Diederichs was received in to active membership in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Postville.
Mrs. Diederichs was united in marriage with John Diederichs of Winneshiek County on May 13, 1902. To this union two children were born, both of whom survive the passing of their mother.
Mrs. Diederichs spent the greater part of her life as a resident of the Postville community. The last years of her life were spent at Lime Springs at the home of her daughter.
Mrs. Diederichs is survived by her two children: Carl Diederichs of Harmony, Minnesota and Clara, Mrs. Louis Schutte, of Lime Springs; six grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters: George Sander of Luana, Otto, Carl, Walter, Eldo, and Mrs. Albert Foels, all of Postville, and Mrs. Mahala Meyer of Luana; as well as other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Diederichs was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Caroline, Mrs. Walter Muchow, and Ida, Mrs. Charles Schutte; and one brother, Conrad Sander.

Postville- Services for Mrs. Emma Diederichs, 72, who died Feb. 12 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Louis Schutte, at Lime Springs, were Thursday from the Schutte funeral home to St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. F. R. Ludwig, pastor, officiating.
As Eliza Emma Sander, daughter of Henry and Caroline (Schultz) Sander, she was born Feb. 13, 1878 in Clayton county. On May 13, 1892 she was married to John Diederichs.
Survivors are a son, Carl, of Harmony, Minn.; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Schutte, of Lime Springs; five brothers, George, of Luana, and Otto, Carl, Walter and Eldo, all of Postville; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Foels, of Postville, and Mrs. Mahala Meyer, of Luana, and six grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother.
