David “Pete” Peterson 1941-2005

David “Pete” Peterson, 63, of New Albin, Iowa died Friday, June 3, 2005 at the Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the New Albin Community Center. Inurnment will be at the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, New Albin, Iowa. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa.

David Clarence Peterson was born June 17, 1941 to Oscar and Eva (Ashline) Peterson in Chicago, Illinois. He married Linda Carroll on August 4, 1973 in New Albin, Iowa.

David served in the United States Army from February 23, 1967 till his honorable discharge on February 11, 1969.

David attended Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School in Bradley, IL.

David was employed with Illinois Fabricators as a press operator for 32 years before his retirement in September of 1999.

He was a member of the New Albin VFW.

Survivors include his wife Linda Peterson of New Albin; one daughter Rita Peterson of Redondo Beach, CA; one brother Paul (Phyllis) Peterson of Jamestown, NC; two stepbrothers Durwood (Hazel) Baskerville of Braidwood, IL, and Harry (Kay) Baskerville of Cadiz, KY; two sisters Dixie (Ken) Payne of Bourbonnais, IL, and Beverly (Robert) Brown of Bourbonnais, IL.

His parents and stepfather preceded him in death.
