Killed in a Saw Mill at lon{?}.
Waukon Standard:—Our community was shocked last Wednesday morning when news spread that Daniel McNaughton was seriously hurt in his saw mill. He was working at the saw when his son noticed him lying some distance away, ran to him and found him unconscious with his arm broken and seriously hurt in the forehead and neck. He was removed to his home and medical aid summoned and all that loving hands could do to relieve his suffering, but all to no avail. He died just twenty-fours after being hurt. He was born at York, Livingston Co., New York, in 1820, and he came to Iowa and settled in Dubuque in 1844.
