WILLIAM ORRIN DUNDEE 1892-1953
Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Church at Cedarville, Illinois last week for William Orrin Dundee, 61, a former resident of this community who passed away at Burlington, Wisconsin. Rev. Curtis W. Webster, pastor of the Forest Mills E. U. B. Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Cedarville, Wisconsin cemetery.
William Orrin Dundee, age 61 years, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin passed away October 5, 1953, at Burlington, Wisconsin Memorial hospital, his death due to a long illness. He was a former resident of Postville and Cedarville, Illinois.
He was the son of Orrin and Ida Dundee and was born at Waukon September 15, 1892. He was baptized in the United Brethren Church.
In 1920 he was united in marriage to Leona Cummins at Decorah. To this union were born seven children: Evelyn (Mrs. Marcellous Tucker) of Monroe, Wisconsin; Walter of Hebron, Illinois; Elwood of Lake Geneva, Marvin in the armed forces in Germany, Adaline (Mrs. Dale Smith) of Lake Geneva, and Eugene and Janice at home.
He leaves to mourn his passing four brothers and one sister, namely, Mrs. Phil Steffens of Clermont, Laurence of Postville, John, Fred and Wallie, all of Waukon. His parents, one brother, Frank, and two sisters, Anna and Lillian, preceded him in death.
