Fred Beeman, 84, Of Waukon Dies

Fred Beeman, 84, longtime Waukon merchant, died early Tuesday.

A lifelong resident of Waukon, Mr. Beeman was the son of C.D. Beeman, builder of the Beeman block here.

Fred Beeman operated a dry goods store here for many years.

Survivors include a son, Leon of Moline; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Sage of Dover, N.J., and two grandchildren.

Services are being arranged at Martin Brothers Funeral home.

DOD: July 24, 1956
NOTE: Gravestone research records indicate Fred Beeman was married to Gertrude Reed.
