Edward Roggensack, 81, of Waukon Dies

Edward Roggensack, 81, lifelong Allamakee county resident, died Wednesday night in the Veterans Memorial hospital here following a long illness.

Mr. Roggensack had been in the monument business for more than 50 years. He entered the business in 1892 at Lansing and moved his firm here in 1940.

He was married to Alma Simon in 1895. She died in 1920.

Survivors include a daughter, Delinda, director of music education at Cornell College; Delbert and Horace of Elkader, and Roland, of Lancaster, Wis., and four brothers, Herman, of Waukon; Henry, of Highbridge, N.J., Garfield, of Albert Lea, Minn., Lutie of Fargo, N.D.

Services are being arranged at Martin Brothers funeral home here.
