Funeral services for Wilhelm O. Pladsen, 73, were conducted Friday at the Lutheran church in Waterville by the Rev R.O. Haugsta(?). Mr. Pladsen died Tuesday in Milwaukee where he was visiting his daughter. He was a lifelong resident of Allamakee county. He was twice married. His first wife, the former Victoria Hendrickson, died in 1905. Later he married Miss Matilda Ness, who died in 1928. Two sons preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jess Toney of Waukon and Mrs. James Wyse of Milwaukee, two brothers and four sisters: Theodore Pladsen, Harpers Ferry, Emil, Mrs O.J. Wagnild and Miss Barbara Pladsen, Waterville, Mrs. Herman Wurtzel, Waukon and Mrs. Randine Siem, Cedar Falls. After retiring from farming a few years ago, Mr. Pladsen made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Toney.
