Funeral services for Henry Ryan were held Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic church, conducted by the Rev. E.J. McDonald. Mr. Ryan died Thursday in a hospital at Janesville, Wis., following the amputation of his right leg, due to an infection. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ryan, he was born near Waukon and spent his entire life in this vicinity. Since the death in 1933 of his wife, he spent the winter months with his foster-daughter, Mrs. A.A. Hennessy at Janesville. A brother, Thomas F. Ryan of Bridgewater, S.D., and two grandchildren survive.

Note: according to Waukon St. Patrick's Catholic Church death records; Henry was born in 1859 and passed away March 18, 1937.
