Fall From Horse Is Fatal To Farmer, 53
WAUKON - Emil Hanson, 53, Waukon area farmer, died Thursday of injuries suffered in a fall from a horse.

Hanson went out to ride about 2 p.m. Thursday at his farm 6 miles east of Waukon. When the horse came back without him, members of the family looked for him and found him lying on the ground in the farmyard. He had apparently hit his head when he either fell or was thrown from the horse.

Mr. Hanson was taken to the La Crosse, Wis., hospital for treatment. He died there.

He is survived by his wife; Bernita (Kloke) Hanson, two sons; Richard and James, at home; a daughter, Mrs Edward Knuppe of rural Waukon and two sister, Mrs. Casper Haugen of Waukon and Mrs. Herbert Haugen of Lansing.

The body is at the Bakke Hanson funeral home.
