WAUKON-Funeral services for Henry Flage, who spent over 75 years in Allamakee county, were conducted Sunday at Zalmona Presbyterian church by the Rev. E.H. Bushman. The pallbearers were Elmer Fogt, Martin Stock, Grant and Elmer Flage, Arthur Kruger and Walter Fiet. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Flage, pioneers of Ludlow township, he was born August 27, 1863. His death occured Friday (April 26, 1940) due to a heart attack. In 1893 his marriage to Caroline Fogt took place. Besides his widow, five children survive: Mrs. Lydia Helming, Mrs. Esther Krumme, Mrs. Mabel Stuckman, Roy and Arthur Flage, all of Waukon and vicinity; also two brothers: David Flage, Waukon, and John of Ludlow township.
