MARTELLE, FRANK, SLOAN, MCMANUS

Harpers Ferry, Ia. - Military funeral services for Irvin Louis Martelle, 66, will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Ann's Church. The Rev. W. Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Wexford Cemetery.

Mr. Martelle died Wednesday morning in the home of his sister, Mrs. W.E. Frank, where he was convalescing since he submitted to surgery at Iowa City about two months ago.

Mr. Martelle served during World War I and never married.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Frank; Miss Irene Martelle and Mrs. Clay Sloan of Los Angeles, and Mrs. E.T. McManus of Palm Springs, Calif.; two brothers, John F. of Oquawka, Ill. and Otto of Harpers Ferry, and eight nieces and six nephews.
