Waukon, Ia. - Walt Mahr, 71, retired Dorchester, Ia., farmer, died Thursday afternoon at his home.

Funeral services are pending at the Bakke and Hanson Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife, Mame; four daughters, Mrs. Vic (Madelyn) Schwarthoff, Dorchester; Mrs. Roy (Marjorie) Ohlstrom and Mrs. Eddie (Genevieve) Herbert, both of Rock Island, Ill.; Mrs. Earl (Lou Mae) Ryan, Alliance, Ohio; five sons, Reginald, Vinton, Ia.; Joe, Cedar Rapids, Ia.; Ray and Walter, Dorchester, and Eugene, Cresco, Ia.; two sisters and one brother.

Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Walt Mahr, 71, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester, Ia.

Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery in Dorchester. He died late Thursday afternoon at his home.
