SPILLVILLE
Elmer Irving Helgeson, 89, died Thursday (May 17, 1990) in his home after a long illness. He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Burroughs) Helgeson; three sons, Edward of Spillville, Norbert of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Dick of Decorah; a daughter, June Ann Beer of Cedar Rapids; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Spillville. Burial: St. Benedict Cemetery, Decorah. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Balik's, Spillville, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a Scripture service held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
