WAUKON- Funeral services for George Frederick Wenig, 63, lifelong resident of Allamakee county, were held Saturday at the Methodist Church at Dorchester, conducted by the Rev. Thomas Elwick. Mr. Wenig died on the farm where he was born on July 6, 1875.

On Jan. 3, 1899, he was married to Miss Minnie Shefelbine, who survives him with their three sons, Truman, Edwin and Franklin, all at home; a brother and four sisters, Dr. B.J. Wenig of Hampton; Mrs. Elizabeth *Dresselhouse (sp) of Caledonia, Minn.; Mrs. Sarah Hase of Hawkeye; Mrs. Margaret Kumlim of Austin, Minn., and Mrs. Elmer Audas of Gray.
