JAMES FISH 1886-1935

James Fish, son of Thomas J. and Mary Fish, was born August 25, 1886, and died at nine o'clock Monday evening, February 25, 1935, at the home of his brother-in-law, Art Evans.

He was married to Miss Maude Evans in 1908 and to this union three children were born, namely: Robert, Mrs. Mildred Decker, and one son that died in infancy.

His wife preceded him in death in 1926. Besides his son and daughter he leaves to mourn his loss one granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Vickery and Mrs. Nellie Roffman; and two brothers, Jess E. of route 2, Luana and Peter of Harpers Ferry. One brother, Ernest, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Beals, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Joslin of Monona at the Volney church at two p.m. on Thursday. Interment was made in the cemetery at Smithfield.

The pallbearers were Henry Thornton, Herb McCracken, Alfred Berg, Ainsworth Powell, Albert Oelberg, and John Berg.
