Jessup - The death on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. of Mrs. E.B. Raymond, after an illness of ten weeks, caused a wave of sympathy to pass through every heart. Deceased was a most estimable woman, a grand and noble character, devoted to her husband, and her taking away leaves a vacancy in the home.

The remains were taken on the Monday evening train to Waukon, the old home, where the funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn, her one son, W.P., and wife; her mother, 95 years of age; a sister and one brother.

She was 58 years old, and had been a member and worker in the Presbyterian church for years. A short service was held at the late home prior to the departure on Monday.

Mrs. L.C. Burkitt, of Waterloo, came down Monday to attend the funeral of her long time friend, Mrs. E.B. Raymond.
