Funeral Services Held For Mrs. George Hein

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 1973 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Mrs. George Hein who died at the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville, Wednesday, August 15, 1973. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated.

Emma Rosina Meier, the daughter of Ludwig Meier and Charlotte Wernhardt, was born December 23, 1881 at Postville. She was baptized into St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, June 11, 1882 and confirmed April 7, 1895. She remained a faithful member to the church and the LCW program.

On September 26, 1911 she was married to George W. Hein of Postville and to this union four children were born. She lived all of her life in Postville and took a special interest in her flowers and garden.

Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter Charlotte who died in infancy; two sons, Harlan and Lewis, together with her brothers, Louis, Christ, Henry and Fred Meier; two sisters, Louisa (Mrs. Fred Kamp) and Minnie (Mrs. William Hein).

She is survived by her son Harold in Florida, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
