Florence Monica Hefner, 81, of Prairie du Chien, WI, formerly of McGregor, died Sunday, March 17 at Prairie Health Care Center in Prairie du Chein.

She was born Aug. 28, 1909 in Waukon to Michael and Elizabeth Elliot McNally. She attended Big Foot school, and lived in the Harpers Ferry and McGregor areas until moving to La Crosse, WI, in 1971. She had been living in Prairie du Chien the last two years.

She is survived by a son, Virgil of McGregor; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Elizabeth Duffy of Waukon.

Memorial services were held Friday, March 22 at St. Mary Catholic Church in McGregor with Fr. Robert Levenhagen officiating. Burial was in St. Pius Cemetery, Cherry Mound, with Thornburg Funeral Home of McGregor in charge of arrangements.
