MABLE KOONTZ - died 1883

Dear little Mable Koontz is at rest. One little chair is empty, and two little hands are reaching toward Papa and Mama, moutely entreating them to "meet Mable in Heaven."

All was done for her that could be done; but she is gone, and the little home on the hill is childless. The service, sad and impressive, was conducted by Mr. Bryson at the house; and the little casket - but not Mable - was laid away in the Odd Fellow's burying ground.

One soul less to strive with sin;
One soul more in heaven;
Question not Jehovah's right
To take the life He's given.
Ye are childless; but rejoice
That God - not Death - has Mable:
Spirit natures can't be held
In earth bound caskets sable.
