DANIEL ORVILLE DONALD KUGEL 1950-1974

Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church for Daniel Kugel who lost his life in an auto accident Saturday afternoon, September 21, 1974. The Rev. Norman Ullestad officiated. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

The son of Vernon and Margaret Meyer Kugel was born March 29, 1950 at Postville and named Daniel Orville Donald Kugel. He was baptized in St. Paul Lutheran Church on April 30, 1950 by Pastor Ludwig and confirmed April 7, 1963 by Pastor Witt.

Daniel graduated from Postville High School and from the Area I Community Technical School and worked in Charles City for three years as a carpenter. The past year and a half he has been farming and doing carpenter work.

Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Meyer and an aunt and uncle, Marie and Arthur Meyer.

Survivors include his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Hilgerson of St. Olaf and Diane of Postville; a brother, Robert of Postville and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Will Kugel.
