Mrs. Lena MEYER - died 1895

Died, On Thursday, April 2, 1895, Mrs. Lena MEYER, aged 53 years. Mrs. MEYER was sick but a few days, the malady being pneumonia. She was not thought by the neighbors to be in immediate danger and the shock caused by her death came like a thunderbolt out of a clear sky. She had been a very active, hard working woman and her nervous system was too much shattered to withstand the shock of the dread disease. She leaves no family except one daughter, Bertha, who is all alone in the world now, and has the sympathy of all. Funeral held Thursday afternoon at the Lutheran church, attended by a vast concourse of friends, the Masonic fraternity turning out in a body, her husband having been a Mason.
