HENRY LOUIS MEYER

Henry Louis Meyer, the son of F. J. Meyer and Charlotte Schroeder, was born on December 9, 1886 in Winneshiek county. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. He passed away at his home in Postville, December 27, 1967 at the age of 81.

On December 17, 1912, he was united in marriage to Lena Schweinefus, who with two sons survive him; Vernas of Postville and Victor of St. Joseph, Missouri. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and three sisters, Mary (Mrs. Ed Schlee), Ella, (Mrs. Elmer Hoth), and Helen (Mrs. Paul Koevenig).

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Will, Fred, Chris, Louis and Edward.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 30, 1:30 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. Lenwood Monte was in charge of the rites; Burial (and here the paper has crumbled).
