Waukon Republican:—Died Tuesday evening Jan. 19th, at his home near Lycurgus, Patrick McCauley, of old age, aged 82 years. Mr. McCauley came to Allamakee county in the 50’s, coming from Galena, Ill., where he resided several years after arriving in this country. He was born in County Donegal, Ireland. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and seven sons.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he is buried in Lycurgus Cemetery and that he was born in 1822.
