Henry Sherman of Jefferson township, Allamakee County, went to Howard, S. D., to attend the funeral of a son. While there he was taken ill and died. His remains were brought home for burial. He was a thrifty German, aged 80 years and leaves a large family and considerable property.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows a Johann Jobst Heinrich Sherman who was born in 1823 and is buried in Ebenezer Cemetery and also had a son Henry Simon who is buried in Howard, S. D.
