MILBURN MILTON MOOSE
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12, 1978 at 1:30 p.m. at the Martin's Funeral Home in Waukon, for Milburn Milton Moose, who died at his home in Waukon, Friday, February 10, 1978. Mr. Moose was a former Postville resident. The Rev. Curtis H. Webster officiated.
Born June 2, 1912 in Allamakee County, Milburn was the son of Gerald and Stella Livingood Moose. He received his education in the rural schools of the county. August 24, 1932 he was united in marriage to Grace Jacobia. They farmed their entire life in the area until retiring in 1975 and moving to Waukon.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Verta) Kerr of Postville and Mrs. Gilbert (Ednah Mae) Wiethorn of Monona. There are four brothers, Gaylord of Monona, Hollis and Claude, Waukon and Hubert of Garnavillo; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Coral) Klees of Monona and Mrs. Ralph (Eloise) Welch of McGregor; also four grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Sheryl) Moses, Monona; Cindy, Scott and K. R. Kerr of Postville and two great grandchildren, Jami and Lori Ann Moses. Mrs. Gene Watson, Waukon and Mrs. Luther Groth of Mabel, Minnesota, are two sisters-in-law who made their home with Milburn and Grace until they graduated from high school. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Ralph. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
