Services Held For Former Resident
Funeral services were held at one o'clock Saturday, June 5 in Third Presbyterian Church, Rockford, Illinois, for Mrs. Walter (Miriam) Martin, 71, who died Thursday, June 3 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack.

Born February 7, 1905 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Worrell. She was married to Rev. Walter T. Martin in Ohio, Illinois, November 25, 1926.

She had lived in Rockford the past seven years, moving there from Postville where Rev. Walter T. Martin had served as minister of the Community Presbyterian Church for many years.

Mrs. Martin was a member of Third Presbyterian church,, served as director of the Children's Choir; was a member of the PEO Sisterhood; attended Wheaton College.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Walter T.; two daughters, Mrs. Larry L. (Marilyn) Smith of Rockford and Mrs. Donald (Carolyn) Knutson, Janesville, Wisconsin; six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rachel Meebold, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Interment was in Glenwood Cemetery.
