CHARLES PECHIA 1915-1967

Livingston [Montana] (AP) -- Stabbing victim, Charles Pechia, described as about 60, died early Sunday in a Livingston hospital. Police are holding a man they found in a Northern Pacific boxcar. Park County Sheriff Albert Nickelson said Pechia was apparently wounded in a Livingston rooming house brawl. Held was Frank McGill, who was located by sheriff's deputies about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Nickelson said information on both men was limited. Their ages, occupations and addresses were not known to investigating officers. Park County Coroner Byron Robb said homicide charges will be filed against McGill. Robb noted that "homicide" can range anywhere from justifiable homicide to first degree murder. He did not say with which degree McGill would be charged.
