Alice Radloff
Alice Anna Friederika Radloff, daughter of William and Anna (Harnack) Buckman, was born April 13, 1906 in Farmersburg Township, Clayton County, Iowa. She was baptized April 15, 1906 by Pastor Wm. Braun at Garnavillo, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of the Farmersburg area.
Alice died Wednesday, December 4, 1996 at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl, who died July 13, 1985; and a brother, Clarence.
Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Joyce and Julius Dettmann of Monona, Iowa; two sons and their wives, L'Dean and Betty Radloff of Springfield, Ohio, and Roger and Judy Radloff of Postville, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 7, 1996, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. Pastor Bruce Hanson officiated. Organist was Mrs. Theresa Rodas. Pallbearers were Robert Wacker, Don Toberman, Dennis Henning, Vernon Henning, Gary Radloff, Larry Day and L'Dean Henkes. Burial was in the Farmersburg-Wagner Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
