Two Well Known Ludlow People Pass Last Week

Friends of Mrs. Henry Grotegut were shocked and grieved to learn of her death Sunday, following a three days' illness from pneumonia.

As Lydia Becker, daughter of Henry Becker, she was born in Ludlow township on August 15, 1879, and was in her 60th year.

On Feb. 2, 1898, her marriage to Henry Grotegut took place and for a number of years their home was in Winneshiek county. Fourteen years ago the family moved to Waukon.

Surviving are her husband, three sons and a daughter, Reuben, Walter, and Mrs. Roy Flage, Ludlow township and Calvin at home. Also her father, stepmother, four brothers and two sisters, namely: Henry Becker, Jr., Preston, Minn.; Rev. Wm. Becker, Abeline Kansas; Gustave, Forest City; Edward, Ludlow; Helen, Madison, Wis.; and Ada, Waukon.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon.
