Mae Rathbun Passes On In No. Hollywood, Calif.

Word was received here last week by Blake Rathbun of the passing on of his sister, Miss Mae Rathbun, at North Hollywood, Calif., following a several years illness. She was 74 years old. Funeral services were held there last week Monday.

Miss Rathbun was born August 31, 1868, on the place where her brother, Blake, now resides west of town, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradshaw Rathbun. Most of her lifetime she spent in Winneshiek county, being a school teacher there at one time. Twenty years ago she went to California to make her home.

She is survived by the following brothers and sister: Hall Rathbun, in California; Fred Rathbun, Decorah; Mrs. W. E. Cornell, Ossian; Blake, on the home place, and Bert Rathbun of near Waukon.
