Mr. William Rea, an old resident of Union Prairie Township, died last Monday. Mr. Rea was one of the oldest settlers in this county, coming here in 1854. He leaves an aged companion and several grown children to mourn his loss. By his honesty and unrighteousness, he succeeded in laying by quite a competence and has been taking life easy the past few years. A large concourse of sorrowing friends followed his remains to their last resting place. His age was 70 years. He died April 21, 1884.
