Lansing, Ia., Oct 4 - Harriet Ann Phipps Tisdale, relict of the late Edward Tisdale, a well and favorably known resident of Lafayette township from 1852 until his death on Feb. 24, 1906, passed away suddenly Sunday at the dinner table.
Deceased was aged about 85 years. She married Mr. Tisdale in this county in 1857, and eleven children, six girls and five boys were born to them, three daughters and two sons surviving as follows: William, Miss Nellie and Mrs. Max Cardin, at home; John E. of Canada; and Mrs. Kayton of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Spillman of Emmetsburg, Ia., and a half-brother, Alden Winters, in Canada.
The funeral was held from the family home at Thompson's Corner Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment beside her husband in the Village Creek cemetery.
