BETTIN, WEYMILLER, BLOOMQUIST

New Albin, Iowa - Funeral services conducted by Reverend P.C. Keinath of the local Evangelical Lutheran church were held Saturday afternoon from the home, for Mrs. Ernestine Bettin, who passed away Wednesday morning after a lingering illness of three months.

Born September 14, 1853, she had reached the age of 75 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

Mrs. Bettin was born in Germany and was married there on April 25, 1873, to Leopold Bettin, who survives her. In 1880 they emigrated to America and came directly to their present farm two and one-half miles south of New Albin, as pioneers. Mrs. Bettin was a member of the Evangelical church of New Albin.

Besides her aged husband, she is survived by two children. Mrs. August Weymiller of New Albin and Otto Bettin, who has always lived at home with his parents; five grand children: Carl of Pray, Montana Ed of near New Albin, Mrs. Maurice Bloomquist of New Albin, and Emil and Louise of New Albin; and four great-grandchildren, Bobby Bloomquist, Calvin Weymiller of Montana, and Helen and Rose May Weymiller of New Albin.

Interment was in the New Albin cemetery.
