Eileen Schultz

Funeral services for Eileen Caroline Meyer Schultz were held Friday, Sept. 16 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. Rev. Harold O. Ward officiated. Burial was in St. Paul Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona was in charge of services.

She was born October 30, 1914 in Postville, Iowa. Her parents were William and Mathilda Sebastian Meyer. She was baptized Dec. 12, 1914 by Rev. Schmidtz and confirmed Aug. 12, 1928 by Rev. Finch in the Lutheran Church in Postville. She received her education in the Postville school. After high school she attended Waterloo Beauty Culture school becoming a beautician in 1934.

She married Gordon Schultz October 30, 1935 in Postville. The couple had 2 children. They made their home in Monona, where they were owners in Schultz's Furniture Store and Funeral Home for many years. Eileen managed the furniture store during W.W. II.

Eileen died Sunday, Sept. 11, 1988 at Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona and E.L.C.A. Hope circle. She belonged to Tri City Golf club and enjoyed both golf and card playing.

Preceding her in death were her parents and twin sister, Irene Radloff.

Surviving is her husband, Gordon; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Warren Miner, Basking Ridge, NJ; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Robin Schultz, Scottsdale, AZ; 4 grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Vella and Orville Troester and sister-in-law, Ramona Krambeer.

Pallbearers: Kenneth Timmerman, Lyle Sebastian, Leon Letchford.
