ARNDT, GRABER, FINK, NEUMAN, STOLTZ, WEYMILLER

New Albin, Iowa - Funeral service for Rudolph Arndt, 70, who died at his home a few miles north of town after an illness of only a few days, were held from the home and from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon. Rev. A.B. Gable of the Methodist church officiated at the services, and interment was in the New Albin cemetery.

Mr. Arndt was born in Germany in 1859 and migrated to America when he was 11 years old. For two years he lived in the vicinity of Dubuque, Iowa, and then with his parents came to Jefferson township near here and settled on the farm where he still lived. Thus he had been a resident of this community for 57 years.

Thirty-eight years ago he was married to Mary Graber, who died in 1928.

He is survived by two sons, four daughters, nine grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

His children are Albert and Rudolph at home, Mrs. John Fink of New Albin, Mrs. Clarence Fink of Church, Iowa, Mrs. William Neuman of Crooked Creek township, and Mrs. Sylvester Stoltz of Caledonia, Minn. His surviving brother Robert Arndt lives on a farm near the old home place, and his siter, Mrs. Mathilda Weymiller, lives at New Albin.
