Rossville, Ia., Nov. 1 - John D. Woodmansee, 68, passed away at Rossville. With the exception of a few days he spent practically all his life in this county.

On April 6, 1896, he was married to Mrs. Myra Roberts. They resided for some time at Monona and McGregor, but for the past 29 years have resided at Rossville. Mr. Woodmansee was a well driller by trade.

He leaves to mourn the widow and one brother, Emanuel of Waukon.

The funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, Rev. R.L. Vannice officiating, with burial in the Rossville cemetery. The pallbearers were H.C. Campbell, W.W. Gast, John Huffman, Ed Huffman, Dorn Walters and O.J. Swain.
