Funeral services for Mae Steffens were held Monday, April 5, 1982 at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Reverend Curtis Webster officiated. Burial was in God's Acres Cemetery at Clermont.

Mae E. Steffens, daughter of Orrin and Ida (Brandis) Dundee, was born April 17, 1889 near Waukon, Iowa. She died April 1, 1982 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon at the age of 92.

She received her education in the rural schools near Waukon. On May 22, 1907 she was married to Philip Steffens. To this union a son was born. They farmed for several years in the Clermont area. In 1930 they moved to Clermont. She attended the Methodist Church in Clermont.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip, who died June 29, 1969, her parents; five brothers: John, William, Wallie, Fred and Frank; and two sisters, Anne and Lillian. Surviving are a son, Raymond of Randalia and a brother Lawrence Dundee of Waukon, Iowa.
