DALE VICKERY

Dale Vickery, 31, of Waukon died about 5:30 last Wednesday in an accident on Highway 52-18, Luana. He had hitched a ride with Clarence Sands, 29, Garnavillo, and was riding in the Sand truck when a door flew open. Vickery fell from the truck and rolled under the truck's wheels, dying instantly. Sheriff Forest Fisher of Elkader and Highway Patrolman Robert Janett of Postville investigated the accident, and Clayton County Coroner E. W. Tuecke pronounced the death accidental. Funeral services for Vickery, son of Mrs. John Vickery of Waukon, were held at Martin's at 2:00 p.m. Friday with Rev. E. L. Henning officiating. Burial was at Rossville.
