Mr. Fred WICKMANN, whose serious condition from paralysis we alluded to last week, died as his home in this city Tuesday evening. The funeral will be held form the Lutheran church at half past eleven o'clock today. Obituary next week.

Frederick Wickmann was born in Velbaum, Germany, February 17, 1843, and died at his home in Postville, Iowa, at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1909, aged 66years, ten months and four days.

He was married for the second time to Mrs. Minnie Witt, whose maiden name was Kramer. To this union were born two children.

In 1867 he came to America settling first in Illinois, then near Elkader and finally in Postville. His death was caused by a paralytic stroke which affected the entire left side and rendered him speechless.

He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, four children, two sisters and many friends.

The funeral was held from the Lutheran church last Friday at half past eleven o'clock, Rev. R. Kuchne officiating. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
