From the Marion Sentinel of Marion, IA Thursday, February 25, 1915:

Bernie Luth, son of Peter Luth, of LaFayette township, Allamakee county, was fatally burned when he used gasoline to start a fire in a stove, in the explosion which followed pictures were torn from the wall and the house caught fire.
