Laura Valley, 68, of Davenport, formerly of Waukon and Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday evening in Mercy Hospital, Davenport. Services: 11 a.m. today, St. Ann, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Harpers Ferry. Burial: Sixteen Cemetery, rural Monona. Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to service time in the church hall. Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Stewart of Davenport; a son Stanley of Normal, Ill., three brother, "Buck" Schlitter of Denver, Colo., Ray Schlitter of Davenport and Fred Schlitter of Guttenberg; and four sisters, Agnes Melsha of Harpers Ferry, Dorothey Ellis of Postville, Lena Lenville of Monona and Bertha Swanson of Muscatine.
