Rites Held For Mrs. Ed Jones

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., for Mrs. Ed Jones, 58, who died Saturday at Postville Hospital. The Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church was in charge. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Ed Jones, aged 58, died Saturday, October 20, 1956 at the Community Hospital in Postville.

The daughter of George and Lucy Cain, she was born May 13, 1898, in Clermont, Iowa. She graduated from the Clermont Public school.

Wavia Margaret Cain was married to Ed Jones on June 13, 1914. Six children were born to this union. Two children preceded her in death, daughter Betty May and a son Arthur LeRoy.

Surviving are her husband Ed Jones, two sons, Charles and Leslie Jones of Postville, and another son, Virgil Jones of Pontiac, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Fay Wickham of Castalia; two brothers, Milford Cain of Sabula, Iowa, and Gayle Cain of Decatur, Illinois. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Ed Jones spent her entire life in and around Postville. She attended the Methodist church at Elgin.
