Vivian Jones

Funeral services for Vivian Jones were held Feb. 22, 1985 at 11 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church in Postville. Rev. Reuben Tjaden officiated. Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Vivian Irene Jones, daughter of Harold Robert and Mary Alzina (Bray) Flack, was born Sept. 24, 1921 near Hardin in Clayton County. She died Feb. 19 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

She attended the Myron School and the Postville Community School. Feb. 7, 1942 she was united in marriage with Charles Edward Jones at Waukon. They were the parents of nine children. They lived their entire life in Postville. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles in 1970, two daughters, Patty and Angie.

Surviving are four sons, Robert, Wayne and Tommy, all of Postville and Steven of Mukwonago, WI, three daughters, Robin (Mrs. Raymond Wlochal) of Dubuque, Janet Brainard of Postville and Jennifer (Mrs. Randy Lange) of McGregor, fourteen grandchildren, a brother, Leslie Flack of Castalia, and three sisters, Charlotte Newman of Postville, Betty Lundt of Decorah and Joyce Reincke of Evansdale.

Casket bearers were Terry Flack, Rodney Flack, Rick Burger, Matthew Colsch, Michael Colsch and Allen Jones.
