Waterville - Ambrose M. Lea, 73, died Monday, Sept. 16, 1996, in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, Wis., after a sudden illness. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Old East Paint Creek Lutheran church, rural Waterville, by the Rev. Ken Kimball. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice; three sons, Gilbert of Des Moines, Joseph of Mason City and Anthony of Decorah; six daughters, Dorothy Lea of West St. Paul, Minn.; Florence Flaherty of Fort Dodge; Linda Lea and Theresa Lea David, both of Los Angeles; LaVonne Peterson of Decorah and Donna Faber of Vancouver, Brithish Columbia; and a sister Adelaide Aldrich of Waukon.
