Robert "Bob" Carl Batteen, age 73, of Lansing, Iowa passed away March 9, 2017 at the Franciscan Mayo Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin during his valiant struggle with cancer. Bob was born September 6, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa, the son of Harris and Laurayne (Johnson) Batteen of Lansing. He is survived by his wife Karen (Walleser), his daughter Marna (Brian) Hulshof and grandchildren Wyatt, Grace, Noah, and Ella of LaMars, Iowa; his son Bob (fiancee Michelle) Batteen, grandson Ashton and honorary granddaughters Monica and Swen of Vinton, Iowa. He is also survived by his two sisters, Joan (Batteen) Walz of Poulsbo, Washington and Carol Batteen of Seattle, Washington. A celebration of life service was held on April 2, 2017 at T.J. Hunters in Lansing, Iowa.
