Olive M. Severa, 69, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 13, 1995, in the care center after a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Timothy Smith. Burial: St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kuba Funeral Home East and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Georgia of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Elva Steffenson of Rochester, Minn.

Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on April 26, 1968; and a son, James T., on April 18, 1986.

Olive was born, April 4, 1926, in Waterville, the daughter of George E. and Ruth E. Jacobson Sorenson. She had lived in the Cedar Rapids area since 1949 and married Robert T. Severa on Aug. 4, 1951, in Waterville. Olive was an elementary education teacher in the College Community School District for many years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church.

She will be missed by her family and friends.
