Waukon Junction- Funeral services for Mrs. James Shannon, who died Wednesday at her home here after a lingering illness, were held at the home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, Rev. J. Krebs of Waukon officiating. Interment was made in the Spaulding cemetery.

Mrs. Shannon, who was 72 years old, was Miss Mary Flack before her marriage on Sept. 8, 1886. Three children were born to the union, they being Mrs. Robert Young of Marquette, Ia., Mrs. John Baulfanz of Mason City, Ia., and Clifton at home here.

The Woodmansee book does not list her or her husband James Shannon. There was a obit for James Shannon in the Allamakee Journal, Waukon Democrat.

No record located in Allamakee Death records for either of them. They do not have an existing gravestone in the Spaulding cemetery.
