Lloyd S. Swenson, 79, died Thursday at Allison Care Center, Allison, Iowa. He was a retired farmer and grocery store operator.
Survivors are two sons, Arthur of Chatfield, Minn., and Hubert of Spring, Texas; three daughters, Ruth Schlitter of Allison, Lulu Patterson of San Diego, Calif., and Marie Timmerman of Monona; four sisters, Mrs. Chet Barr and Mrs. Roy Honn, both of Waukon, Mrs. Leonard Pearson of Monona and Mrs. Herbert Hayes of Adel, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services: Monday, 1:30 p.m., St. John's Lutheran Church. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Martin's. Burial: Oakland Cemetery.
